The College of Electors (College), established by the Governing Council of the University of Toronto in 1971, is a group of members representing the constituent alumni associations of the University of Toronto Alumni Association (UTAA). The members of the College are responsible for electing the Chancellor and the alumni members (alumni governors) of the Governing Council.
SELECTION OF THE CHANCELLOR
Dr. Wesley J. Hall was appointed by the College of Electors as the 35th Chancellor of the University. He is currently serving a 3-year term from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2027.

SELECTION OF ALUMNI GOVERNORS
The selection process for alumni governors who will serve on Governing Council during the 2027-28 year will begin in November 2026. Further details will be provided here in early Fall 2026.
