Brenda Andrews
Professor Brenda Andrews, a geneticist, holds the prestigious rank of University Professor and is a Canada Research Chair (Tier 1) in Systems Genetics & Cell Biology. She was the inaugural Director of the Terrence Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research and former Chair of the Banting & Best Department of Medical Research and former Chair, Department of Medical Genetics and Microbiology. She is a double graduate of the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology and a Doctorate in Medical Biophysics. She is a Companion of the Order of Canada, an elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the American Academy of Microbiology, and an International Member of the National Academy of Sciences (USA). Professor Andrews will bring to the Search Committee a rich understanding and knowledge of the University’s research enterprise
