Academic Appeals
You can use the search tool below to search for decisions after the 1999 - 2000 academic year. Decisions from 1973 to June 30, 2000 can be found here.
Please read the following search instructions and parameters carefully before conducting case research.
All Academic Appeal Committee reports after June 30, 2000 will be found on this part of the site. Reports are normally posted within one to two working days after release to the parties. Summaries are also written for all reports , and normally posted within one to two months after the report is released. Therefore, for the most recent reports, summaries may not appear when conducting a search. Please also note: for a very small number of historical reports, there are currently no summaries, but this is being addressed.
When you conduct research using either the keyword search and/or dropdown menu, what will be searched are the reports. In the descriptor for each result, however, will be information from the case summary, and not the report. This descriptor should assist the reader when determining whether results are relevant. Please note, however, that this means when you do a keyword search, and that keyword does not show up in the descriptor (because it is not in the summary), it will still appear somewhere in the report, because that is what is being searched. In such situations, we recommend that you click on the Report Button, and do a search within the actual report (using the search command key or ctrl-f), by entering the same keyword. This will assist you when determining if the report is relevant for your purposes. Please note: no descriptor will appear if there is no summary attached to the report.
If you want a list of all the reports, from the most recent to the oldest, simply click the Apply Button above. Note: when doing so, make sure nothing is entered in the keyword search and that none of the pulldown menus are selected.
