RSVP and Guest Tickets

RSVP Guidelines and Ticket Information:

Please note that an RSVP is mandatory.

  • All eligible graduands must RSVP to indicate that they will either attend or not attend their ceremony.


An online RSVP and Guest Ticket Request form will be available for Fall 2024 graduates through ACORN starting October 2 (10 AM) and will close on October 14 (11:59 PM).

Tickets will be available for download on ACORN after 12 PM on October 17.

There is no charge for convocation tickets and the sale of convocation tickets is strictly prohibited. 

Notes about Tickets:

  • Graduating students do not require a ticket to attend their own convocation ceremony.
  • Tickets are issued only for guests of graduating students who will attend their ceremony.
  • Tickets are NOT TRANSFERABLE and cannot be sold.

Without exception, all guests must have a ticket to enter Convocation Hall.


RSVP


If you are not attending your ceremony RSVP "not attending" by selecting the Graduation & Convocation tab on ACORN. Please see question 11 of our Frequently Asked Questions to review information on how obtain your diploma after the conclusion of ceremonies.

If you are attending your ceremony a Gown Rental ID number is required before you RSVP and order guest tickets. This is your Order Number from Harcourts. If you own U of T regalia, you will need to speak to a staff member at the Office of Convocation (416) 978-5940 before you RSVP online.

After you have ordered your regalia, select the Graduation & Convocation tab on ACORN and continue to the RSVP and Guest Ticket order form.


Guest Tickets


Only graduating students who are attending their ceremony are eligible to receive a maximum of two guest tickets, if ordered during the RSVP period. Please note that guest tickets cannot be guaranteed if you miss the RSVP deadline.

If extra tickets are available for particular ceremonies, requests can be made in the RSVP form. For more information, please click here.

Your guest tickets (if requested) will be available through ACORN only after 12 PM on October 17. They will be in a PDF format that you can download and print or share with your guests.

Please note that tickets are barcoded and can only be used once. Children less than 24 months of age do not require a ticket.
