Farheen Babar
Hi everyone! I am Farheen Babar, a Pakistani third-year student in the DEM program and I am excited to announce my candidacy for the UTM Campus Council. As an advocate for inclusivity and growth, I bring profound leadership roles through my Non-Profit organization offering free tutoring and involvement in clubs like DEMA as a presidential associate, Mock Trial and the crochet club. My goal is to amplify YOUR VOICE, foster collaboration and streamline change on campus. Together, we will implement long-term informed changes to problems which ensure the council's diversity-focused needs. Thank you! I am eager to make an impact!"
Saad Hussain
I am excited to apply for the UTM Campus Council to serve and represent the student body. As an engaged and dedicated student, I am passionate about fostering a positive campus environment and addressing the concerns of my peers. My leadership skills, strong communication abilities, and commitment to advocacy will enable me to collaborate effectively with students, faculty, and administration. I am committed to promoting inclusivity, enhancing student life, and ensuring that the voices of UTM students are heard. If elected, I will work tirelessly to create a vibrant, supportive, and empowering campus experience for all."
Albert (Zhongheng) Pan
I desire an environment where undergraduate student voices are heard, and taken seriously. I was inspired to run when I saw the lack of representation of undergraduate student voices. My previous experience in university governance such as UTM's Campus Affairs Committee has taught me how to play the game, and I intend to play for the students' best interest in the UTM Campus Council. Together we can move UTM in a direction that is guided by students in conjunction with the faculty, as opposed to solely based off of what the leadership sees fit."

As a candidate, I would like to act as the voice of the student body. As a student of UTM, I value the opinions of the student body and want to take them into consideration when making decisions on campus. One of the major things I want to achieve is to increase the experiential learning opportunities for students in diverse academic fields. Increasing options for students aids their future career choices and provides them with advantageous experience."
Jack Zhang
My name is Jack, and I'm very honored to submit my candidate statement to the UTM Campus Council. Ever since high school, I've always been taking the role of leadership, and this skill of mine has always been developing and polished. There were a lot of benefits changes when I took the role of leadership in high school regarding community, environment, and mental well-being. There are 3 goals that I'll be focusing on as a campus council, 1. Improving international students' access to legal concerns, 2. advocating for students' voices, and finally, making academic services more accessible for students. "
Aryaman Chopra
I genuinely believe we can make this campus a better place for everyone. UTM has so much potential, but there are areas where we need to push harder for change. I believe students shouldn’t have to carry the burden of fee increases and will lobby to vote against them. One of my priorities is to ensure that central university services, like petitions and academic appeals, take way less time. Students shouldn’t have to wait endlessly for decisions that impact their futures. I will push for streamlined processes and better communication to make these services work for us, not against us."
Aaisha T. Mirzada
As an experienced leader, I have successfully organized numerous fundraising and cultural events, built strong community connections, and launched my own business. My work with Penny Appeal Canada and the Pakistani Punjabi Association at UTM reflects my passion for charity and cultural unity. I bring proven skills in communication, teamwork, and event management, and I am committed to fostering student involvement and making a positive impact. With a track record of leadership, I am dedicated to serving my community with integrity and collaboration."
