Veronica Marie Wadey
Dr. Veronica Wadey is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery where she has been a member of the faculty since 2007. Her clinical focus is lower extremity arthroplasty at the Holland Centre/Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.
Nationally, she is the Chair of the Continuing Professional Development Committee of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association; a member of the RCPSC – Examination Committee for Orthopaedic Surgery and the Medical Advisory Committee for The Canadian Orthopaedic Foundation.
Dr. Wadey has an extensive publication record with clinical research focused on the evaluation of gait and the rehabilitation approach to musculoskeletal disorders directed towards health system improvement and clinical outcomes in joint reconstruction surgery. Her research in medical education involves work in the area of musculoskeletal health and continues a distinguished career leading in program and curriculum development in medical student education, resident education and MSK medicine module development and was awarded the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine 2019 Award for Excellence in Medical Education – Development & Innovation.
Dr. Wadey received a B.Ed. and BPHE from the University of Toronto, an MA (Athletic Therapy) from Indiana State University and an MD from the University of Calgary.
