Professor Syed Ahmed has been a full-time faculty member at the U of T Scarborough since 1996, and teaching in the areas of Finance and Management Science. Professor Ahmed has owned and managed a retail and wholesale food business and worked as a contractual consultant with a Treasury Consultancy firm in the areas of financial and commodity risk management. He also delivered seminars to the bankers on behalf of the Institute of Canadian Bankers and received one of the highest ratings in Ontario in teaching effectiveness. He has conducted research in the areas of Job Stress, Male/Female Wage Differentials, Organizational Commitment, and Oil and the OPEC. Professor Ahmed has published papers in the Canadian Journal of Administrative Sciences, and the Journal of Human Relations.
