Dan Bowyer
Dan Bowyer, B.A., B.Ed., OCT, is currently the Principal of Toronto eSchool. Dan served for 35 years with the Peel District School Board becoming a School Administrator in Caledon, Brampton and Mississauga. Dan was the First Vice President of the Ontario History and Social Science Teachers’ Association for over twenty years and also coached his schools’ Men’s and Women’s Field Lacrosse teams to OFSAA competition. Dan volunteered at the Ontario Lacrosse Hall of Fame and Museum in St. Catharines, Ontario as a Member of their Accession Committee and as their Lacrosse Historian. Dan played on and coached the Scarborough College Men’s Lacrosse team while he was a student there in the ‘70s.
Lately, Dan has taken on additional U of T responsibilities, becoming a community member of the UTSC Campus Council & it's Academic Advisory Committee, a member of the UTSC Alumni Association Executive, a member of the OISE Alumni Association Executive, an Executive member of the College of Electors & their Nominating Committee for Alumni Governors, a member of both the Governing Council’s Academic Board & their Striking Committee and as a member of the Committee on Academic Policy and Programs. Dan has now taken on the additional roles as the OISE 2026 Giving Day Ambassador and as the Chair of their Doctoral Fellowship Award. Finally, Dan has been a Reader for the U of T Pearson International Scholarship Awards. In recognition of Dan's on-going volunteering he was awarded a King Charles III Coronation Medal and Certificate by the Honorable Rechie Valdez PC MP Mississauga-Streetsville and was presented with a U of T Arbor Award this past January.
