Professor Andrew Petersen teaches in the Department of Mathematical and Computational Sciences at the University of Toronto Mississauga. He joined the department in 2007 after completing a Master of Science in computer science at the University of Washington.  Professor Petersen has served as the Director, Teaching and Learning Support and Innovation at the Robert Gillespie Academic Skills Centre, and as UTM’s Acting Vice-Dean, Teaching and Learning.  Professor Petersen was honoured with the Ontario Confederation of Faculty of Associations Teaching and Academic Librarianship Award in 2019, and the President’s Teaching Award in 2015.
