Joanna Szurmak is Interim Associate Librarian, Library & Learning Services, as well as Head, Instruction Services, at the UTM Library (UTML), where she has worked as a librarian for sixteen years. Joanna holds MISt and MASc degrees from the University of Toronto and is pursuing a PhD in Science & Technology Studies at York University. She has worked in the Canadian communications industry as well as in U.S. and Canadian academic libraries.
