Sanja Hinic-Frlog is an Associate Professor, Teaching Stream in the Department of Biology at UTM. She joined UTM in 2013 and was previously a member of the Academic Affairs Committee (2015-2019). She teaches Foundations of Human Anatomy and Physiology I and II (BIO208 and BIO209), Introduction to Physiology (BIO202) and Ornithology (BIO326). She is involved in several pedagogical projects at UTM including identification of misconceptions and threshold concepts in anatomy and physiology undergraduate education, deep time curriculum in biology education, student perceptions about mental health and academic performance, and the impact of field experiences, active learning and problem-solving approaches in biology courses. Sanja will serve her first three-year term as a UTM Campus Council member, from July 1, 2020 to June 30, 2023.
