Scott MacKendrick is a partner with Bereskin & Parr LLP and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. His practices cover all areas of intellectual property law, with a particular focus on litigation. He is internationally recognized as a leader in his field and for his skills in both patent and trademark matters.     

Mr. MacKendrick is dedicated to the advancement of the IP profession and has been actively involved in a number of related organizations and associations. He is the author of numerous intellectual property publications and speaks frequently on a wide variety of intellectual property topics.    

Mr. MacKendrick is also a dedicated supporter of the University of Toronto. He has been an Adjunct Professor of Patent and Trade Secret law at the Faculty of Law for the past 20 years. His numerous voluntary leadership roles have included serving as President of the University of Toronto Alumni Association from 2016-19, Chair of the University's College of Electors from 2013-16, a past board member of the University of Toronto Engineering Alumni Association Executive, and he has chaired a number of other University committees and been a member of many award panels. Mr. MacKendrick’s many contributions to the University were recognized with an Arbor Award in 2012.    

Mr. MacKendrick holds a BASc in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto and an LLB from Queen’s University.
