Posthumous Award of Degrees
Posthumous degrees should be awarded only under the following circumstances:
- Where the student has successfully completed all the requirements of his or her program or where all of the academic requirements have been completed and only a limited amount of practical work remains to be completed.
- Where the award of a posthumous degree is approved by the Divisional Council concerned, and by the Academic Affairs Committee or the delegates of the Committee charged with approving examination results.
- Assent of the family should be sought after the Academic Affairs Committee has approved the award of the degree.
