REPORT NUMBER 54 OF THE AGENDA COMMITTEE

September 21, 2022

University of Toronto Scarborough,

Your Committee reports that it met virtually on September 21, 2022 at 1:10 p.m., with the following members present:

Present: Grace Westcott (Chair), Wisdom Tettey (Vice-President & Principal), Andrew Arifuzzaman (Chief Administrative Officer), William A. Gough (Vice-Principal, Academic & Dean), Sonja Nikkila, Fatima Formuli, Silma Roddau, Paulina Rousseau

The meeting was held in Closed Session.

  1. Chair’s Remarks

    The Chair, Grace Westcott, welcomed members to the Agenda Committee meeting.
     
  2. Agenda for the Meeting of the UTSC Campus Council, September 29, 2022

    The Committee reviewed and discussed the draft agenda for the UTSC Campus Council meeting on September 29, 2022. The Committee confirmed the agenda for September 29, 2022.
     
  3. Appointments: 2022-2023 UTSC Nominating Committee

    The Chair reported that on September 1, 2021, the UTSC Secretariat sent out a Call for Nominations for one additional student and one additional teaching staff member of the UTSC Campus Council to serve on the UTSC Agenda Committee when it acted as a nominating committee. Two nominations were received - one student nomination and one teaching staff nomination. If appointed, both nominees had indicated a willingness to serve on the Nominating Committee.
          
    On motion duly made, seconded, and carried, the Agenda Committee resolved to forward the recommendation to the Campus Council that the two nominees be appointed to the nominating committee of the UTSC Campus Council for 2022-23.
     
  4. Report of the Previous Meeting - Number 53 – May 16, 2022

    The report of the previous meeting was approved.
     
  5. Date of the Next Meeting – Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 4:10 p.m.  

    The Chair reminded members that the next scheduled meeting of the UTSC Agenda Committee was November 2, 2022 at 4:10 p.m.
     
  6. Other Business

    No other business was raised.

The meeting adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
