Heather Anderson is a seasoned leader with over 20 years in communications, marketing and public affairs. She is currently the Director of Communications & Customer Service at Halton Region, an upper tier regional government serving the municipalities of Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton and Oakville. She is a member of Halton's senior leadership team and oversees all aspects of Halton's brand positioning, corporate communications, marketing, public and media relations, internal communications and engagement, digital and social media, issues management, crisis communications, and customer service and engagement. Heather has led teams to deliver integrated and strategic approaches to communications, public affairs and customer engagement including the region's public communications strategy and community engagement plan in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Previously, Heather has held senior communications roles at Infrastructure Ontario, Ontario Securities Commission and OMERS. She holds an HBA with a Specialist in English and Minor in Professional Writing from UTM. She is a creative writer and lover of books, an active member in her community and mother of two.
