David Jacobs
Dr. David Jacobs (MD, FRCPC) is a distinguished radiologist with over two decades of practice in the field. Renowned for his expertise in cross-sectional and breast imaging, Dr. Jacobs has made significant contributions to healthcare through his clinical practice, leadership roles, and advocacy efforts.
Dr. Jacobs began his career at Southlake Regional Health Science Center and York Central Hospital, where he played a pivotal role in establishing and modernizing cardiac CT and MRI programs. Transitioning to Humber River Hospital, Dr. Jacobs continued his dedication to excellence in patient care and innovation. His focus on cross-sectional and breast imaging has contributed to the hospital's reputation for cutting-edge diagnostic services. Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Jacobs has been a tireless advocate for healthcare policy reform. His advocacy has been focused on modernizing breast screening guidelines in Ontario. Currently, he serves as the President of the Ontario Association of Radiologists. Dr. Jacobs is involved in commercial research projects and is committed to linking academic endeavors to future job opportunities for students.
He holds an Honours BA in Neuroscience from Oberlin College, a Medical Degree from Queen's University, a Residency in Diagnostic Imaging from the University of Toronto, and a Fellowship in Cross-Sectional Imaging from St. Michael's Hospital. He is also a graduate of the Physician Leadership Development Program at the Schulich School of Business, York University.
