Rosa Junghwa Hong
Rosa Junghwa Hong is Associate Professor, Teaching Stream at the Department of Language Studies (DLS). Some of her community activities for the UTM and DLS include membership in the AAC for 6 years, UTM Academic Society's Advisory Committee, DLS's associate chair, among others. Aside from her research and pedagogical interests in Francophone transnational writers mainly in Canada, her other foci in academic projects are rooted in finding ways to integrate novel didactic approaches in language learning curricula and teaching practices. She leads numerous projects in the areas of TELL, experiential learning, and narrative-based Empathy pedagogy initiatives.
Her latest projects in FSL pedagogy are on developing an online pronunciation correction interface and examining the use of Learning Analytics data to improve the learner experience.
