Ms Gillian Mason is a senior executive in the non-profit sector locally, nationally and internationally. She has an undergraduate degree from the University of Waterloo (BES) and MPA (first in Class), Western University 1994. She has served on multiple Boards of Directors including as Chair of the Toronto Public Library Board (budget $115 million) and currently on the TRCA Foundation Board; and she has held senior executive positions, such as President and CEO, of local, national and international non-profit organizations, in the latter she served Ministers, Cabinet Secretaries and Deputy Ministers in 54 countries. Ms Mason has been working with UTSC on social procurement and community benefits in east Scarborough; and is familiar with the work of UTSC as a community institution while advising East Scarborough Storefront and working with Urban Strategies on the East Eglinton LRT Plan, as well as through the Scarborough Community Renewal Organization (SCRO). Ms Mason’s consultancy practice assists non-profit organizations, and their public and private sector partners, to navigate complex systems, forge strategic partnerships and achieve sustainable change.
