Neel Joshi is UTSC’s Dean of Student Experience and Wellbeing. Prior to joining the Faculty of Law at the University of Toronto in 2014, as the Senior Admissions and Diversity Outreach Officer, Neel spent the earlier part of his career at York University as the Senior International Recruitment Officer. Since 2015, he was at the Rotman School of Management where he served as the Director of Student Life & International Experience for the MBA program. He is committed to student-centred, community-engaged, and social innovation and entrepreneurship approaches to enhancing the student experience. Neel is passionate about creating environments where staff and students feel a sense of belonging, and working with them as partners to actualize their full potential. His efforts in implementing award-winning transformative student experiences have been featured in the national press. Neel is a lifelong learner, community enabler and a practitioner of experiential based learning. He received a Bachelor of Commerce & Information Technology Management from the Toronto Metropolitan University and completed the Executive in Social Innovation Design program through the University of Pennsylvania.
