Judicial Board
You can use the search tool below to search for decisions.
Please read the following search instructions and parameters carefully before conducting case research.
Decisions are normally posted within one to two working days after release to the parties. Summaries are also written for all decisions, and normally posted within one to two months after the decision is released. Therefore, for the most recent decisions, summaries may not appear when conducting a search.
When you conduct research using either the keyword search and/or dropdown menu, what will be searched are the reasons for decision. In the descriptor for each result, however, will be information from the case summary, and not the reasons for decision. This descriptor should assist the reader when determining whether results are relevant. Please note, however, that this means when you do a keyword search, and that keyword does not show up in the descriptor (because it is not in the summary), it will still appear somewhere in the reasons for decision, because that is what is being searched. In such situations, we recommend that you click on the Report Button, and do a search within the actual reasons for decision (using the search command key or ctrl-f), by entering the same keyword. This will assist you when determining if the decision is relevant for your purposes. Please note: no descriptor will appear if there is no summary attached to the reasons for decision.
If you want a list of all the reasons for decision, from most recent to the oldest, simply click the Apply Button above. Note: when doing so, make sure nothing is entered in the keyword search and that none of the pulldown menus are selected.
