With a career spanning over three decades, Samuel has made significant contributions to aviation safety, security, and environmental practices. His role as Vice President of Safety at Air Canada gave him overall responsibility for safety, security, environment, and risk management across the company, where he demonstrated visionary leadership and a commitment to sustainable practices within the aviation industry.
In addition to his contributions to aviation, Samuel's influence extends to the healthcare sector through his instrumental role in the early development of the OR Black Box®, a technology designed to enhance the quality of care in operating rooms by providing valuable data and analytics to healthcare systems.
A dedicated advocate for healthcare and community welfare, Samuel served as Chair of the North York General Hospital Board from 2018 to 2021. During this time, he exhibited relentless commitment and leadership, particularly during the challenging circumstances of the pandemic, ensuring the delivery of quality healthcare services and prioritizing patient care and community well-being.
