Candidate Statements for the 2025 Fall By-Election - UTSC Campus Affairs Committee

UNDERGRADUATE STUDENTS

“Full-Time Undergraduate Student” means a Student registered at the University in a program of full-time study leading to a degree or post-secondary diploma or certificate of the University or in a program designated by the Governing Council as a program of post-secondary study at the University who is not registered in the School of Graduate Studies or the Toronto School of Theology. Full-Time Undergraduate Student status will be determined by the definition used in the Student’s academic division. For the purpose of the Governing Council elections, Students at the University of Toronto Scarborough who are registered in a work term will be considered to be Full-Time Undergraduate Students.

“Part-Time Undergraduate Student” means a Student registered at the University in a program of part-time study leading to a degree or post-secondary diploma or certificate of the University or in a program designated by the Governing Council as a program of post-secondary study at the University who is not registered in the School of Graduate Studies or the Toronto School of Theology. Part-Time Undergraduate Student status will be determined by the definition used in the Student’s academic division.

Robert Princely, Vina

I have worked to address students’ economic insecurity, strengthen engagement, and create inclusive spaces. Serving on the UTSC Campus Affairs Committee would allow me to extend this advocacy, ensuring policies and resources reflect diverse student needs. I am dedicated to transparent decision-making, fostering collaboration across campus collectives, and building stronger ties with the wider community. My experience leading equity-driven initiatives, organizing community-advancing events, and developing sustainable partnerships has prepared me to represent students effectively. I aim to enhance campus life by supporting student well-being and promote equity in campus planning discussions.

Tedeshvili, George

As founder and president of the Kavkaz & Eastern European Students Association and founder of Students Against Global Femicide, I have built inclusive spaces that celebrate culture, raise awareness, and amplify student voices. These experiences have strengthened my skills in governance, accountability, and collaboration while deepening my commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion. I believe that effective governance requires broad representation and transparency, and I am dedicated to ensuring all students feel heard and supported. I am eager to bring my leadership, vision, and dedication to the UTSC Campus Affairs Committee.
