Daniel has been with U of T since 2004, having joined the department after 7 years Internal Audit and Risk Management experience in the Canadian Insurance and Mutual Fund sectors. He received his Bachelor of Administrative Studies (BAS) from York University in 1994, a Fellowship in Risk Management (FRM) in 1999, and is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) as well as a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). Daniel’s primary responsibilities involve overseeing the planning and execution of Operational and Information Technology audits in order to ensure that they are completed on a timely basis, audit objectives are achieved, and compliance with standards is maintained. Daniel also manages the Continuous Audit program and provides professional advice on information technology related risks and controls. He is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA).
