Mark has been the Director since 1996, having joined the Department in 1991 after eight years in public accounting. He received his BBA in 1982 and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, Certified Internal Auditor and Certified Fraud Examiner. His primary responsibility involves planning and directing the execution of the University-wide annual program of compliance, operational and information systems auditing. Mark frequently serves as a presenter for Staff Development courses and is a member of the AMS Steering Committee as well as a Governor for the Toronto Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
