Judy G. Goldring is President and Chief Administration Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of AGF Management Limited (AGF), a global asset management company trading on the TSX. She is also a member of the Board for the AGF Group of Funds. Reporting to the CEO, Ms Goldring is responsible for the firm’s Legal & Compliance, Human Resources, Product, and Marketing & Communications teams as well as AGF’s Private Client businesses.
Ms Goldring received a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Victoria College in the University of Toronto and earned her LLB from Queen’s University. She was called to the Bar in 1993 in the Province of Ontario and, prior to joining AGF, practiced at Gardiner, Roberts and Bennett Jones LLP, specializing in regulatory and administrative law. She is a member of the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association.
In July 2007, Ms Goldring was appointed to the University of Toronto Governing Council. During her time on Governing Council, she served on a number of boards and committees including the Executive Committee. In 2011 and 2012, she was Vice-Chair, and in 2013, she was elected Chair, a role she held until 2016.
Ms Goldring is also on the Board of Directors of the Investment Funds Institute of Canada (IFIC) and is the Chair (Elect) of TFS, Canada’s International School, which is the largest bilingual school in the country. She continues to support fundraising activities for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation and has served on its National Capital Campaign.
In 2015, Judy Goldring was named a Top 100 Hall of Fame Inductee by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN)—a distinct honour reserved for those who have been nominated as one of Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 for a fourth time. In addition to 2015, she was recognized by the WXN in 2012, 2013 and 2014. Ms Goldring was also recognized as one of the Women’s Post Top 20 Women of 2010.
