Elizabeth (Elsa) Kiosses
Elizabeth (Elsa) Kiosses, R.N, M.N., is the Health Promotion Nurse at the Health and Wellness Centre at UTSC for the past 18 years. She works on health and wellness initiatives, outreach, and programming through experiential learning, collaborations, and partnerships with students, staff, faculty, and community agencies. In addition, she provides students with direct nursing care in a clinical setting at the Health and Wellness Centre. As alumni, she has a strong commitment to the university and interest in being involved in its future priorities.
Arjuna Thaskaran has been working at UTSC since 2010 in capacities that have allowed her to interact heavily with faculty and students on curricular matters and in the interpretation and application of academic policy makes her a knowledgeable candidate to serve on the Academic Affairs Committee. Moreover, she exemplifies the values and attributes required by committee members, namely integrity and fiduciary responsibility. Currently, she instructs the first year cohort of the Department of Management Co-op students through the Work Term Preparation Academic Course.
Liana William’s commitment to serving the UTSC student population is rooted in a holistic, student-centered approach. During her time at the Academic Advising & Career Centre, she gained an intimate knowledge of academic policies and procedures while advising students on their academic progress from admission to graduation. She also worked at the Office of the Registrar where she gained insight into how academic policies and priorities are created and implemented through working with the Student Records & Convocation team. Now working at the International Student Centre, Liana continues to serve students through encouraging the internationalization of curriculum and the student experience.
Wei Xiong is a Data Analyst, Business Intelligence in the Office of the Registrar. In his current role, Wei develops data-driven performance metrics dashboards (such as CGPA, Academic Standing, Program Enrolment, Transfer, Retention and Graduation) to support academic department planning and administrative policy decision-making for student success improvement. Wei is a certified Professional Statistician (P.Stat.) and has co-authored more than 20 research publications in the field of statistical analytics. He provides statistical support for UTSC operational research projects. Wei hopes to use his expertise and experience to make a positive contribution to the UTSC Academic Affairs Committee.
